The Missing Tale - Nonfiction

I did a superficial one also when I wrote my story "Two times a hero", but just in according to synchronize the dates with the historical truth. I accepted that my story was not edited because of it could be offensive. But now, after a deeply research, I can affirm that reality has exceeded my fantasy!

"LAW ON THE STERILIZATION:The nazi ideology poses the demographic politics to the center of its sight of the world. Demography for the Nazism it was meaning a double operating concept: to favor the increase of the German population from a side and, from the other one, to create the introductions for a costing decreasing of the births of the populations "subumane" (Slavic, gipsies and, obvious, Jews). To sterilize whole populations across surgical systems was appearing not only economically untenable but also long agree with in temporal limits. The opportunity to arrange in the fields of concentration of a wide number of human cavies, gave start to a race to test the methods alternating to surgey. The most absurd and lethal."

The main doctors, employed in these research were:

HORST SHUMANN: "After the participation to the "Aktion 14 f 13" Schumann was charged to verify the possibility for mass sterilization with X rays. The experimentation was carried out at Birkenau in the "Block 30". The Jewish prisoners were obliged to march nude between two pious that were sprinkling them frontally and rear with the X rays. For the men it was been planned a special tool that was bombing of X rays directly the genitals. The time of exhibition was varying from five to the eight minutes. The results were invariably lethal. To verify the action of the X rays after the exhibition, at the prisoners were asportate the ovaries and to the men, one or both the testicles. Continuing these operations, performed by the same one Schumann in brutal manner, the victims were developing lethal infections that in a short time were leading them to the death. To verify that the spermatozoons of the prisoners they have been totally devitalized, Schumann was having invented a tool that, inserted in the rectus, it was crushing the prostate and was compelling the victim to ejaculate. More or less 200 men submitted the exhibition to the X rays and the successive castration. In the only day of December,16-1942 Schumann operated 90 of these unlucky. In total, at least 1.000 prisoners were submitted to the experimentation of Schumann."

KARL CLAUBERG:"His studies on the fertility and the sterility were aiming at the discovering of a not surgical system that was provoking a permanent sterility in the man and in the woman. Were these studies that interest Himmler in the planning to join to solve the matter of the "half Jews" (Mischlinge). Like result was agreed that Clauberg leads his studies in Auschwitz using the prisoners like cavies. Clauberg was having, in priority, lead studies on the animals arriving at the conclusion that a solution to 5-10% of formalin was in a position to set afire the tubas of Falloppio until the point to block them. The problem to avoid the surgical sterilization was special warned from the nazi: the purpose was to succeed to sterilize with ignorance of the victims. Most likely the idea was being born from the requirement to sterilize the Mischlinge but is not improbable that it is aimed to a technology of sterilization on immense masses to apply itself in immense geographic areas. Clauberg developed a solution likely to base of formalin and novocaine that was administering in Auschwitz at the prisoners of the notorious one "Block 10". Clauberg arrived to arrange until more of 300 prisoner to lead his experiments. In this activity Clauberg was assistant from the doctor Johannes Goebel that supported not only the searches but also the administration of the solution. In a little bit of years in Auschwitz, Clauberg and Goebel sterilized different hundred of women that were persueded to collaborate or with the threat to be transferred to Birkenau where would have found an immediate death, or with the promise to be transferred from the field of concentration to the clinic of Konigshutte of whom Clauberg was director. The technology of sterilization was far from the perfection and the collateral effects that the solution was provoking in the victims was resulting serious. One arrived at injuries persisting of the equipment womb and to the death. The advance of the Russians troops compelled Clauberg to leave Auschwitz but not his experiments that continued in the feminine field of concentration of Ravensbruck."

A curiosity is rapresented by the innovative method proposed by dr.ADOLF POKORNY, based on the studies of dr.Gherard Madhaus. It consisted in the administration of extracted by the south american tree: Caladium Seguinum. The method was abbandoned for the difficulties to cultivate, on a large scale, the vegetable.

Another goal for the Reich was to find a cure for homosexuality. The persecution and the research was suffered almost only by the males Germen homosexuals, in fact their guilt was to be not reproducers, whilst it was not an authomatic relationship for the lesbians and the nazi were not interested at the not Arian reproduction.Two Danish doctors were the specialists in those studies.

KARL VAERNET and KNUD SAND, "this last was been in 1929 a supporter of the law on the castration (?) adopted in Denmark a little bit before of the legalization of homosexuality in 1930. Sand was of the opinion that the homosexuality was a "curable illness" by means of transplant of "healthy testicles" in the homosexuals. Vaernet instead he was showing favor for a hormonal solution and not surgical. Between 1930 and 1932 Vaernet it continued his studies on the hormonal therapies into the hospital of Copenaghen. Between 1932 and 1934 it is brought in different Germen universities where persueded further studies interesting to the use of the ultrasounds. In 1939 gave beginning to the searches on the testosterone and, in 1941, a newspaper wrote that in his clinic the hens used like cavies were heard sing like roosters. The renown of Vaernet, was one of the revenues medicals most researched in Denmark before of the war, but his popularity collapsed because of his friendship with Fritz Clausen.Vaernet was in tight relations with the German plenipotentiary one in Werner Best Denmark."

The following is a topic story of the persecution suffered by the "problematical homosexuals" in those years:

"Friedrich-Paul von Groszheim was born in April, 27-1906, in Lubecca, Germany. Lost the parents still child: to 11 years the father dies in war and a few later the mother died to. Reared from a couple of uncles, Friedrich undertaken commercial studies since 1933. In the January 1937 the SS organized a wave of stoppings in Lubecca. In the operation were captured 230 homosexuals with the accusation of violation of the article 175. Friedrich - that it was fallen in the catch - was tried and sentenced with 10 months of prison. Little months later he was released, in the beginning of 1938, he was arrested again. After having tortured, the SS they released him with the condition that he was accepting the castration. In 1940 called for the visit to become a soldier, he was reformed actual because of the undergone castration. In 1943 a new stopping. This time the official excuse was that Friedrich was "monarchic", this accusation sufficed to shut away him like political prisoner in the field of concentration of Neuengamme. Friedrich survived at two years of concentration field. After the war he established in Hamburg."

I always thought that emasculation could be a catharsis, meant in the sense of the ancient greek word, act of puification, for all those people who feel their sexuality as a padding, a ballast against thierself realizing. It doesn't matter if the reason of this feeling is religious, psychological, educational, medical; it's of their choice to loose it.

But all this is so sad, it smells of fowls plucking and dead leaves. I don't want to give political or moralistic judgements here, but it is the evil, the apology of the torture. Cannot be a delight even for us, interested at the human castration, the last taboo of the western civilization (maybe with the obesity, or as they say kindly: physical inadequacy); moreover it is not fictional, it would have to strike our consiences.

Of course it is not the first time I read about the "project euthanasia"; just two days ago, I have ended to read "Maus", by Art Spiegelman, but everything is always so vague. To read that people had suffered for what is exciting for us, puts me into the sorrow. My tale was about the unintentionality of the heroism and the torture of the involuntary emasculation, but now I'm happier 'cause its edition would be an abuse for all these unfortunates.
