The ritual begins with a men's drum circle... I am part of the drumming , fully integrated into the group of men.. but then drumming stops suddenly and several men including myself and the chief "priest" and several assistants.. stand.. we are wearing black robes as are all the other men in the circle. But when the three or maybe four of us stand the front of the robes open .. all of us are nude underneath.. all have their pubic area shaved, in preparation for the modification...
The chief priest who has a long beard and is taller than all the others.. , puts his hands on my shoulder and speaks "At this point you are one of us.. but tonight you begin a voyage to a life beyond manhood.. leaving behind the most essential element of manhood. We are here as men to wish you well and witness the beginning of this voyage... This is the last time that you can drum with us ... " He then pulls my robe off and hands me a drum and I start drumming and the others join in as I sit nude in the center of the circle. The chief priest motions and the drumming stops again. The assistants remove the drum from my hands and lift me to my feet. The priest walks to a dark curtain in the dimly lit room. When he pulls it back a wide bench brilliantly light is covered with white surgical sheets. Two modification practitioners are standing next to the bench.. also dressed in black robes , wearing surgical masks. The priest and his assistants bekon me to lay on the bench.. Before laying down I speak: " I leave you freely.. taking this voyage on my own initiative... my manhood has been difficult and I willingly seek release from it.. to live as another type of human." With that said, I lay on the bench . As the practitioners prepare my body by rubbing sterilizing solution around the public and testicle areas, the Chief priest stands next to me. One of his assistants brings forth a large knife on a pillow. The Priest brings the knife in front of my face and I kiss it> He speaks: " The sacred blade will liberate you to start your new voyage"
