The Witch's Curse
by
Bagoas
Judge Stansfield should have left well enough alone instead of bringing Goody Paisley's wrath down upon him and his sons.
My father, Nathaniel Stansfield, was a judge in Welles Town and quite convinced of the reality of witches. Having been stung by her sarcasm he was especially convinced that Goody Paisley, a sharp-tongued old woman who went about talking to herself and kept a black cat, was one of them. The three Haley girls, harlots one and all, having been denounced by her as wanton, accused her of bewitching them so that their menses were stoppt. They swore that none of them had ever known a man and that they must have been got with child by an incubus conjured by the said Goody Paisley. At her trial, the Haley girls held their bellies w'ch were not visibly swoll'n and swore that they each could already feel a demon-child kicking and struggling therein. Goody Paisley testified that each of the Haley maids had known enough young men in the town that it should present no difficulty to conceive that they had each been brought to child-bed by some sturdy young lad or other. Other hysterical maidens did testify that Goody Paisley had given them the evil eye and they had consequently suffer'd terrible menstrual cramps. In her defense, Goody Paisley did swear upon the Holy Bible, by our Lord, Jesus Christ, that she was no witch nor had ever worked any spell upon anyone whatsoever. No sooner had she spoken than there was a rumble of thunder on the left. The Prosecutor, Mr. Edgely, trembling with awe and fear said "Hear, will ye, our Lord , himself, hath expressed His wrath at her false oath. What more proof will any God-fearing Christian demand ?" "NONE !" thundered my father, Judge Stansfield. "I do find the defendant, Goody Paisley guilty of witchcraft and do contemn her to be hang'd by the neck until dead." "You do great wrong, Nathaniel Stansfield" cried Goody Paisley, "and thou and thine shall bear the onus of it." Being but thirteen and eleven years of age respectively, my brother Allen and I did not attend the hanging , but we soon learnt of others who had, of the curse w'ch Goody Paisley pronounced upon us. Her words, as we were told them, were: " If there be such a thing as divine justice, then this curse which I pronounce will fall upon thee and thine, Nathaniel Stansfield. Thy bloodline shall end with this generation, for neither of thy sons will ever beget offspring to carry on thy name nor thy blood." Later that day, Pastor Henderson prayed over the Haley girls that their bellies be relieved of the burdens imposéd on them by a demon's seed . And lo, their wombs bled that very day. No one seems to have thought to determine whether they had retained (or regained) their maidenheads. That evening, the Rev. Mr. Henderson prayed over me and my brother that we should come to no harm as a result of the witch's curse. Two days later, we both contracted the mumps. I suffered only painful swellings in my neck which subsided in a few days. Allen, however, developed a high fever and the infection did descend into his stones w'ch swell'd greatly and caus'd him such pain that he did scream in agony. The next day, he became delirious and Dr. Harrison concluded that his testicles were suppurated and must be removed immediately lest he succumb to blood poisoning. The operation was accomplisht swiftly, accompanied by numerous shrieks of pain from my poor brother and a dreadful stench from his putrefying stones. Half of the witch's curse had already come to pass. Though he was gravely ill for several days, Allen surviv'd. Father reminded me that it was now my responsibility to beget offspring to carry on our family's name and bloodline . In that it is so very painful, all boys take pains to protect their stones from injury, but I was required to be especially assiduous in this endeavour. I was forbidden to engage in rough games in which there might be a risk of injury to my generative organs. In truth, this did not distress me, inasmuch as I was never inclined to such rough-and-tumble activities. I was, by nature, passive and rather effeminate. Allen, who had been a bold, vigorous boy who delighted in contests of strength and courage, soon became fat and apathetic. Though he had been very fond of girls before his illness, he lost all interest in them. I, on the other hand, never developed any interest in them. As my body matured, I found myself attracted not to girls and women, but to handsome, virile men. If I beheld a bare-chested labouring man, I had to look away quickly lest my yard stiffen. Although I had used to bathe with other boys and youths in a nearby lake, I found yt, being naked amongst other naked youths, I became very disturbed and could not conceal the stiff'ning of my yard . A young man, about two years older than I took me aside and ask'd me if I toss'd off. I did not understand what he meant, and so, he shew'd me. I felt both 'shamed and excited to witness this, especially when his seed spurted forth. He took my yard in his hand and did it for me. The sensation was most delicious and, when my own seed issued out, I nearly faint'd from sheer delight. He told me that his name was Wesley and I identified myself as William. Wesley told me that he knew other things which we might do which were equally pleasurable and that he had a log hut in the woods where we might meet to pursue such pleasures. Feeling some shame about what we had just done, I did not immediately agree to meet him there, but Wesley told me that if I came down to the lake, we would probably meet and could go to the hut if I so wish'd . Thereafter, whenever I needed to visit the privy, I toss'd off before I returned to the house always thinking about men, especially Wesley, and enjoyed it immensely. I found that tossing off helped to prevent the embarrassing erotic dreams w'ch led to my seed's gushing out into my night shirt or onto the sheets. It was Spring before I had any occasion to re-visit the lake and , when I did, I was so aroused by the prospect of meeting Wesley again, that the front of my trousers preceded the rest of me by some six inches. Though I waited for an hour, Wesley did not appear. I was very downcast but resolved to visit it again the next day. This time, Wesley was already there. He explained that, as I should have known, the lake was still too cold for bathing. "I have a fireplace in my hut" Wesley added. "It will be warm and cosy." After about a half hour this was true. In the interim, Wesley taught me to kiss. I had never known how enjoyable it could be if done rightly. Wesley warmed some water over the fire and we wash'd each other's privates. Then, to my surprise, he squatt'd before me, took my yard into his mouth and began to suck upon it. It felt heav'nly, but I soon had to warn him: "If thou continue suck'g much longer, I shall spend my seed into thy mouth." Wesley stopt suck'g just long enough to say "Precisely" and then proceeded to suck the seed from my rigid yard. Masturbation had been very pleasant, but this pleasure was overwhelming. However, I could not bring myself to do the same to Wesley. Wesley replied "I don't mind. I'd rather bugger thee, anyhow." I had heard of buggery and learnt that the buggerer is call'd a sodomite and the "buggeree" a catamite. I wondered, though, if the catamite enjoy'd it or merely submitt'd to oblige the sodomite. I asked Wesley and he assured me that, though the first entry might be somewhat painful, once penetration was complete and the act was underway the catamite would experience ecstatic pleasure if the sodomite were careful and skilfull "which I am both" Wesley asserted. My fears allay'd, I agreed to be bugger'd. Wesley told me that, having just spent my seed moments before, I must rest at least a half hour before he would bugger me as he want'd me to derive the most pleasure from it. Whilst waiting for me to become sufficiently rest'd, Wesley anointed his yard with lard. When he was ready to bugger me, he anointed his right index finger also and inserted it, ever so carefully into my arse while I bent from the waist. We worked it about within me and then very gently touch'd and rubb'd something deep within my rectum. I gasp'd at a thrill of intense pleasure. "Oh my God in Heaven !" I exclaimed. "What is that ?" "I don't know the proper name for it" said Wesley. "I call it the ecstasy knob." Wesley worked his finger about for a while longer, seeking to loosen the sphincter of my arse. Then he presst his greasy yard against my arse . "If this beginneth to hurt, even in the very least, tell me and I'll withdraw. I want this to provide pure pleasure, unalloyed by pain, if that be possible." As the thickest part of the "acorn" of his yard entered my arse, I winced. Immediately he drew back, but did not withdraw completely. "The sphincter", he explained , "is a muscle" and, like any other muscle, it becometh tired. In time, it will become too fatigued to resist further penetration. Then I can enter thee painlessly." And so it proved to be. Finally, he was able to slide his member into my bowels without discomfort. He gently prodded and rubbed my "ecstasy knob" and I thought that Heaven itself could surely offer no delight greater than this . I knew that it was sinful, but why ? What harm was done ?Why was God so infuriated by it as to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah and all of their inhabitants ? As I enjoy'd the greatest pleasure I had ever experienc'd, I banish'd all such thoughts, indeed all thoughts, from my mind. Finally, I felt Wesley's thick hot seed spurt into my entrails. My pleasure continu'd until his yard soften'd and he withdrew it. Post coitum, omne animal triste est." It seem'd to me, though, that my sorrow was only because the pleasure had to end. I mentioned this to Wesley and he replied with a smile, "well, a man can give himself this pleasure for as long as he wisheth by inserting a candle through his arse and rubbing his 'ecstasy knob', though, in time he will spend his seed and the pleasure will end, as all things must." As he had not made me spend by buggering me, Wesley sucked my seed out again and we parted until next Saturday, the only day when I had any time to spare until school closed in June for the Summer. I realised, upon reflection, that I was totally uninterested in marriage and procreation . I wanted only to be a catamite to some manly sodomite such as Wesley. Yet, Father was becoming more and more insistent that I cultivate an interest in the "fair sex" and plan to marry and start a family of my own by age 18, as he had. If, as I suspected, I should never be able to bring myself to lie with a woman and beget offspring, the second part of the witch's curse would be carried out. The more Father urged me to consider marriage, the more distasteful to me it became. I had never beheld that part of a woman's body referred to as "the monosyllable" , but Wesley claimed to have and told me that he considered it repulsive. I introduced Wesley Brandon to Father who took to him immediately. Wesley is very manly and interested in manly pursuits such as hunt'g, fish'g, horsemanship, and archery. The only manly pursuit which does not interest him, which we both kept from Father, is the pursuit of women. Father was very willing for me to go hunt'g and fish'g with Wesley who he felt would be a good influence upon me and present a good manly example for me to emulate. Once school was closed for the summer, Wesley and I were together daily. Wesley worked as a surveyor and took me on as his rodman, a mindless task which involves holding a calibrated rod upright so that the surveyor can sight on it. I was his rodman at work and he was my rodman after work. I was deliriously happy until my 18th birthday, when Father informed me that it was high time that I married. I told Father that I didn't know anybody whom I wanted to marry. Father replied "Well, I do. I have chosen Charity Wellborn for thee as a spouse. She is of good stock and ought to be able to bear thee many fine sons." Of course, that was all that matter'd to Father. He regarded her as he would a brood mare. "But father," I expostulated " I don't even know Charity Wellborn. I think I may have met her at church once or twice, but I doubt that we have exchanged a half dozen words. " "What doth that matter" barked father. "She is an estimable young woman who cometh of a fine family and is of marriageable age. I have spoken to her parents and they would be agreeable to the match." "I...I must have time to consider this." I commented falteringly. "WHY ?" snapped father. "If thou must consider, consider this. Thou hast been spared the nuisance of courtship, and I speak from experience when I assert that it is a nuisance. A comely, domestic, agreeable, pious, and fecund young woman is offered to thee as a spouse without thy having to seek for her." "Father, what doth she think of this match ? Is she willing to have me as her husband ?" "She will do as her parents bid." "NO, Father ! I will marry no woman against her wishes." [Truth to tell, I would marry no woman at all.] Father finally agreed that we should meet before a final decision was made. This granted me a very brief reprieve in which I could consult Wesley. He was as appalled as I. It appeared that I should be unable to avoid matrimony. Until I attained my majority in three years, I was still subject to my father's will. But, no matter how marriageable she might be, such a marriage could not succeed and was surely doomed to misery and failure. Wesley comforted me with these words. "Remember, Billy, that the things which I do which give thee pleasure are things which no woman can ever do. Therefore, if we continue to enjoy each other's bodies, thou wilt not thereby deprive thy wife of anything which she can do. What we do, as long as thou usest not thy yard, cannot be infidelity to her. Also, bear in mind that thou may'st well find coitus with a moman so distasteful that thou canst not perform it." So pleased by the words was I that then and there I kisst Wesley, dropp'd to my knees before him and shortly drank his seed, the which did give me such delight that I spent my own in my breeches. Charity and I met a few days later. She is not what most men would consider a great beauty. Her features, though not unpleasant to look upon, are plain. She hath already, at 16, a great matronly bosom. Her very wide hips betoken a capacious pelvic basin which maketh for easy childbirth. All-in-all, a good brood mare, exactly what Father would choose. We talked alone for a while and I found her to be sensible, practical, and conventionally religious (which I am not). Were I interested in a wife, I could surely do worse. I could find no fault in her which would justify rejecting her. Father had already anticipated one of my objections. "Do not bother to tell me that thou art not in love with her. I am well aware of that and it is irrelevant. Marry first and learn to love afterward. I married thy mother initially because of her social position. In time, I came to appreciate her virtues and to esteem her very highly. I soon became very fond of her. " I allowed myself to be married to Charity Wellborn. The wedding night can best be described as a disaster. At last, I beheld the "divine monosyllable". It impressed me as being as ugly as a turkey's wattles. I could not bear to look upon it. My yard declined to participate in the deception of feigning a lust which I did not feel. I tried stroking it as in masturbation. I tried squeezing it at the base I tried gently squeezing my stones, bloated with unreleased seed for some two weeks. Nothing I could do was of any avail. Unless I could penetrate her maidenhead with my yard, the marriage could not be consummated. Yet, I was impotent. My yard would neither swell nor stiffen. The following day, I arranged to postpone our post-nubial journey until I had seen Dr. Harrison. He attributed my impotence to nervousness and gave me some pills containing Spanish fly, 5 grains. He warned me not to take more than one in any 24 hour period because Spanish fly is very poisonous, but can be effective in relieving impotence. I had had to toss off on the morning after my wedding because my stones ached. I believe that I discharged every drop of accumulated seed which I had been saving for the wedding night. We journeyed to an inn a day's drive from my home and there, I took one of the Spanish fly tablets. It gave no voluptuous feelings, but my yard became painfully stiff and thus, I was able to consummate the marrage. However, I was unable to attempt to get my wife with child. For hours, I thrusted my aching yard into her c--t, yet I could NOT spend my seed ! My stones ached, but they would not release their seed. Surely this was the witch's curse at work. Charity, sore and exhausted, finally begged me to stop. I told her that I was sorry to have caused her discomfort and to be sure to tell me so any time that she had had enough. Having told Charity that I was going out for a breath of air, I relieved my poor stones by hand in the darkness. Three more times, I used the Spanish Fly tablets with no better results, but after the third time I developed a back ache which Dr. Harrison had warned me was indicative of poisoning by the dangerous drug, so I took no more of them and reverted to my earlier impotence. I asked Charity to tell me honestly if she had enjoyed my lovemaking. She assured me that she had not. She had found it exhausting and uncomfortable. I then asked her if she would prefer to forego it henceforth even though it would mean that we would have no children. She considered the question for some time and then asked me how I felt about it. I then told her of the witch's curse and that it was now clear to me that I would never be able to beget any offspring. I told her that if motherhood was important to her, she could legitimately divorce me and I would not oppose it, even though it would embarrass me to admit my impotence. We agreed to discuss the matter with our parents and seek to determine whether, even though the marriage had been consummated with medical assistance, it might be annulled. Father was bitterly disappointed but agreed with me in attributing the débacle of my marriage to the witch's curse. An amicable agreement was arrived at with the Wellborn family and Father annulled the marriage and, better yet, never mentioned matrimony to me again. Wesley and I became partners in a land-surveying business and lived together, for convenience, of course. Outside the house, all is business. Inside the house, we are lovers, thanks to the late Goody Paisley's curse.
