Your desire to become divine surely would be much better served by simply granting my request. After all, what are a few miserly slaves to you, who not only has so many more in your service that you were happy to put an end to the lives of 21 of them but also can acquire others very easily?"

"But how, divine boy, can I ensure that you’ll keep your word after I’ve released the young slaves in question?" the evil Black Queen next asked, which indicated to Pau that the wicked monarch was on the verge of agreeing to his own blackmail. The divine youth answered "Great Majesty, you must recognise that the son of the God of Desire, Seporr, and the Goddess of Love, Zamanna, cannot break his pledges, as to do so would be a grievous sin, unforgivably profane to his parents and the other deities of Lamorrah. However, even if you later discovered that I was being dishonest, you would still hold me, and my sacred genitals, captive and could therefore proceed with your original intent to inflict great harm on me and gain permanent planetary omnipotence. All you will have lost in the interim is a mere 21 slaves and some time. Given this situation, is not the opportunity to become a goddess worth taking the chance that I indeed do speak truthfully and honourably?"

The evil Black Queen did appreciate that, in the circumstances, she truly had little to lose. However, regardless of the outcome of their eventual lovemaking, the wicked monarch also now anticipated ultimately making Pau suffer even more than originally planned for his current impertinence.

This altruistic aspect of Pau’s character was fully appreciated by the evil but perceptive Black Queen, for she would not otherwise have put herself in a vulnerable position as far as the divine youth was concerned. The wicked monarch correctly knew that she was currently perfectly safe in the solitary company of the lovely 16 year-old.
