The Contest
By the old calendar, which was no longer in use, the year was 2312. Between 2000 and 2050, the population of the world effectively doubled from six billion to almost twelve billion. Much of the rain forests of South America and other parts of the world were cut down, leaving behind deserts. The green house effect escalated, increasing world temperature. Much of the ice caps melted raising ocean levels-wiping out most coastal cities. Climates changed worldwide. Large areas of the United States, South America, Africa, and Asia became deserts. Wars, famine, and disease reduced the population of the world to less than ten million-reduced civilization to that of the iron age. Most of the southern part of what had been the United States was covered by deserts-uninhabitable. There was no longer communication or trade between continents. People lived much as the native Americans had before the white man came to America, except that, through farming and the raising of livestock, villages had more permanency-stayed in one location. Although there was some trade between villages, each had to grow enough food to support itself. As long ago as 2200, the maximum sustainable population had been reached. The only way for a village to grow would have been to expand at the cost of a neighboring village, which would have meant war. Because of lessons learned-because of ancient memories of the apocalypse, mankind had rejected war. The only solution was to maintain current population levels. In what had been northern Washington state, a federation of ten villages had arrived at a solution to the population problem. Each year, the five best boys in each village were chosen to breed. The fifty boys would spend a month in each village breeding with all the eligible women in that village. All boys who were not chosen were castrated, as were the chosen boys after their year of breeding. In this manner, the federation had complete control over the population of the villages. At age eleven all boys were removed from their families-sent to live at a school where they spent the next four years training for the contest to come-when they reached fifteen. Having them live at the school served two purposes. One was to provide them with the same training so that each would have an equal chance in the contest. The other was to prevent any unwanted pregnancies. Each year, in each village, approximately thirty boys were sent to the school, five of which would keep their testicles-be allowed to breed. The rest would be castrated. To choose the five, a series of contests were held-contests to determine the smartest, bravest, and strongest of the lot. To provide incentive, a boy was castrated whenever eliminated, in front of the other boys. Zack, Luke, Michael, Thomas, and Mark entered the school together at age eleven. They were now fifteen. It was the year of the contest for them. During their four years at school, they had become close friends, lovers even, since they were cut off from contact with girls. They saw girls from the walls of the stockade which surrounded the school-occasionally talked to some through the cracks in the walls, but were unable to have any physical contact with them. They naturally turned to each other for sexual release, especially, since, for most of them, their entire sexual lives would consist of the few years at the school. Of the five, Zack and Luke were the closest. They loved each other-cared little about the prospect of breeding with girls. Most of the other boys turned to each other because there was no other outlet for sexual expression. Zack and Luke would have chosen each other in any situation-no matter what choices might have been available. It didnt mean, however, that they were ready to be castrated. If they were chosen to breed, they would have a year in which they were traveling together from village to village. At the most, they would breed with one girl-or woman-each night. They would have time for each other. The first contest was a popularity contest. Personality was a consideration in choosing breeders. It was considered to be, at least to some extent, an inheritable trait. The five least liked boys in the group would be castrated first. Zack and his friends were all popular. They were all chosen to go on. There was a large table-about six feet by ten feet-out in the middle of the arena in which they were competing. On one end was an assortment of tools-the knives being the ones that attracted the most stares from the boys. Also on the table was a charcoal brazier on which several instruments were heating to a cherry red glow. Next to the table was a large cistern of water. A couple of filled buckets were on the table.
The five boys-chosen by their peers-were led to the table. They tried to be brave. None of them wanted to show fear in front of the other boys. As did the Greeks, the boys competed in the nude. One of the five placed his hand at his crotch in a vain attempt to hide his erection. Several of the boys watching did likewise. Two men lifted the first boy onto one end of the table. Four men held him there. A fifth bent over the youths crotch, a knife in his hand. When the boys scrotum was split, he screamed-despite his resolve-despite his efforts to keep his teeth clinched. The castrator next grasped one of the boys testicles in his hand-pulled it-stretching the cords. He picked up a pincher tool which he used to crush the cords. Then he picked up a knife off the brazier-its blade cherry red. A wisp of smoke wafted from the seared cords. The sizzling sound it made was drowned out by the boys shrieks. One of the boys who had an erection ejaculated. Cum pumped from his cock onto the ground. Another boy, partially hidden by one in front, rubbed his cock until he also shot his spunk on the ground, never taking his eyes off the table in the center. No one noticed. Their attention was, also, riveted to the table. When the castrator grasped his victims other nut, the boy fainted. Other than quiet sobs coming from the waiting boys, it was silent. One could hear the cords sizzle as the red hot knife burned through them. The boy was washed-his crotch bandaged. The table was washed down with buckets of water. They were ready for the next boy. The next boy, slender, brown hair and brown eyes, was the one with an erection. His five inch cock was twitching, rising from its position above his stomach. When the castrator touched his scrotum with his knife, the boy ejaculated, shooting his cum far onto his stomach-his chest. The semen, containing the last of his sperm, pooled on his stomach. He was screaming before the first cut was made. Of the three remaining boys waiting to be cut, one masturbated-determined to cum one more time while he still had balls. The other two stood-crying, their cocks limp, their testicles trying to withdraw into their bodies. Although the boys didnt know it, this ordeal was part of the contest. Only those with enough mental stamina-with enough courage to see the contest through-would keep his balls. The contest was over for the day. Twenty-five boys were left. Twenty would lose their balls. The next morning, three boys, too shaken by the castrations on the previous day, were unable to continue the competition. Michael, one of the five friends, was one of them. The other four held hands-cried-when he was castrated. After the other two who couldnt compete were castrated, the contest began. The boys learned that no more were to be castrated that day. Contests over the next two days would judge the boys on physical and mental abilities. The fifteen boys with the lowest combined scores would be eliminated. Mark and Thomas were both castrated. Of the five, only Zack and Luke were left. That night they lay together, their arms and legs entwined-their mouths melded-tears pouring from their eyes. At least they were still together! They both had a chance to spend another year together-with their balls intact. On the last day of the contest, seven boys remained. Five would keep their balls-two would not. The last contest was simple. The seven boys would hang suspended-their hands gripping a bar. The first two to lose their grip-to drop from the bar-would lose their balls. It was a test, not only of strength, but of will-to see who had the ability to hang on, despite the pain. Zack still felt strong when the first boy dropped from the bar, He glanced around at the other boys. All the boys seemed to have a good grip-except for Luke. Sweat was beading on his brow. One hand was already slipping from the bar. It was obvious that he would be the next to fall-the last one to be castrated. Zack turned loose of his bar-fell to the ground. He struck the ground an instant before Luke.
